Cale has OBVIOUSLY grown since the last update. He will be 17 months old on the 14th! At his 15 month appointment he was 34 inches long (off the charts!) and 25.2 pounds (56th percentile). Yup...big boy! He has really started to talk more and more over the last few weeks. He newest word is puppy! We have been telling him that Waylon is a "nice puppy" and when visiting the Kenkel's this weekend he looked at Coco and said PUPPY! I am sure the words will just keep coming!

| Cale helping Josie celebrate her 2nd birthday! |
We had an eventfull summer and a busy start to the fall months! Josh decided to make a career change and pursue an opportunity with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). He started on August 1st and had to spend a few weeks in DC/Chicago in training. So, Cale and I hopped a flight and headed to see him! (My parents went along as well which was really nice and a huge help on the flights and as we toured around DC and Arlington!) We had a great time and Cale did excellent!
We headed back to Josh's stomping grounds for the Griswold Reunion so Cale got to play with his cousins and watch the parade. We took a couple trips to the Iowa State Fair this summer. We didn't last too long, but Cale got to ride down the Giant Slide and seemed to really like it! We made a trip to Minnesota to visit some friends, and have done so much more!
It's been so fun watching Cale change over the last several months! He is going through a "mama's boy" stage right now so he is never too far from my side! He still is just the best little guy. He rarely is unhappy unless he is tired! He LOVES to play outside and play ball! He must really watch at daddy's softball games because he will "wind up" before he throws a ball. I am not kidding. He really does, and he has a better arm than I do! He might be a little confused however...he always has a bat and a soccer ball. He will figure it out at some point! :-)
We took Cale to his first ISU football game of the season and he again did a great job, even through the rain! He didnt make a peep at the game and just watched and looked around, and stayed right on track with last year and napped during half time and most of the 3rd quarter. I don't know how we got so lucky! He just rolls with the punches and is a little trooper!
